3 Author’s Exceptional Recommendations: in the Best Anime in 1990s

  1. Neon Genesis Evangelion
  2. Slam Dunk
  3. Porco Rosso

Neon Genesis Evangelion is, no matter what anyone says, one of the best anime series to come out of the 1990s. If you watch it now, I recommend the new anime movie series Rebuild of Evangelion, which concludes with four films. That inspiring and hot story of Slam Dunk is also a must-see, but the anime series is a bit dated. So I recommend reading the manga by Takehiko Inoue or watching the new movie The First Slam Dunk, which was released in 2022. There are lots of Studio Ghibli movies you should watch in your life, and I think Porco Rosso is a hidden gem representing what Hayao Miyazaki really wants to depict.
