Where Does In/Spectre Anime End in Manga?

In/Spectre

Mystery has always been a popular genre in the world of anime, but in recent years, its range has diversified. In/Spectre is a modern popular series, a mystery revolving around a girl named Kotoko Iwanaga, who becomes a deity in charge of the wisdom of apparitions, and an immortal man named Kuro Sakuragawa.

The In/Spectre series originally began when it was released as a novel by Kyo Shirodaira in 2011. The novel was then adapted into a manga from 2015, and the manga version was turned into an anime in 2020. In 2023, In/Spectre Season 2 was broadcasted. All 24 episodes so far have been produced by Brain’s Base.

If you enjoyed the In/Spectre anime, aren’t you curious about what comes next after watching all the available episodes? Here, I will introduce how to continue enjoying the series. I’ll explain where the In/Spectre anime ends in the manga and from which volume and chapter you should start reading.

However, it’s important to note that the anime did not adapt the manga episodes in exact order. The second season covered Volumes 7 to 12, but many episodes were not animated. Volume 9, in particular, was entirely skipped. If you want to see every original manga episode without missing anything, you might want to start reading from Volume 7. On the other hand, if you’re okay with skipping the episodes you haven’t seen and don’t want any repetitions, starting from Volume 13 is advisable.

When will In/Spectre Season 3 air?

As of now, there hasn’t been any confirmation regarding the production of In/Spectre Season 3. However, given the anime’s popularity and the ongoing success of the original manga, the prospects for a third season seem promising. Historically, one season of the anime has covered about six volumes of the manga, which means there is already enough manga content for another season. Let’s enjoy the manga in the meantime and hope for an announcement of the new anime season soon.
