While it has been popular among manga fans for some time, its anime adaptation has sparked a global movement.
Centered around the iconic idol Ai Hoshino and her twin children Aqua and Ruby who become the focus after her murder. Aqua’s tale of revenge in pursuit of the truth behind her mother’s death, and Ruby’s rise as an idol, carrying on her mother’s dream, both inheriting their past life memories, meeting captivating characters along the way.

How many volumes does Oshi no Ko have?

The manga series of Oshi no Ko has 12 volumes so far (the latest 12th volume published in July 2023). It was first adapted into an anime series by Doga Kobo in April 2023.
What chapter does the Oshi no Ko anime end on?
Oshi no Ko, which made a sensational anime debut, concluded its first season with a total of 11 episodes. The final Episode 11 “Idol” corresponds to Chapter 38-40 of the manga series, the end of Volume 4.
So, you can enjoy the following story after the anime ends by reading the manga from Volume 5 Chapter 41 “Staff Meeting”.

Excluding the extended first episode, essentially each anime episode covers three chapters of the manga.
The first season of the Oshi no Ko anime consists of Show Business Arc, Dating Reality Show Arc and The First Concert Arc. And then, the second season will enter 2.5D Stage Play Arc.

When will Oshi no Ko Season 2 air?
Excitingly, the production of Oshi no Ko Season 2 was announced right when the first season ended. Considering the high popularity of the series, this is hardly surprising. As mentioned before, apart from the extended first episode, each episode of the first season essentially covers three chapters of the manga. Thus, if I assume the second season consists of about 12 episodes, that would require about 36 chapters (just four volumes) of the manga. This means that there is already sufficient material available. The broadcast schedule is still undecided, so for those who can’t wait to see what happens next, why not tide yourself over by diving into the manga!
Re-reading from the first volume with the original illustrations is also highly recommended!
