Is the Order a Rabbit? (ご注文はうさぎですか?) is a latest representative Moe anime series, based on the manga series written by Koi from 2011. There are three seasons of the anime series until 2020, and each season consists of 12 episodes.

The slice-of-life anime follows Cocoa Hoto, a 15-year-old girl with orange hair and purple eyes. She boards at Rabbit House, where some main female characters work as well. All of the main Moe characters are adorably presented in the anime.

For those who are obsessed with the recent anime, Eromanga Sensei (エロマンガ先生) is a recommended Moe anime to watch. The romanric comedy anime is adapted from the light novel series written by Tsukasa Fushimi and illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki from 2013. The anime series aired with 12 episodes in 2017.

A high school student Masamune Izumi, who writes light novels, finds out his 12-year-old sister-in-law Sagiri is “Eromanga Sensei”, who is a popular illustrator of light novels. In addition to the silver-haired girl, there are other Moe girls in the anime including a teenager light novel author Elf Yamada and a Sagiri’s classmate Megumi Jinno.

Lucky Star depicts the dairy life of a blue-haired geeky high school girl Konata Izumi, purple-haired twin sisters Tsukasa and Kagami Hiiragi and a pink-haired honor student Miyuki Takara.

Haganai focuses on a blond high schooler Kodaka Hasegawa and girls around him. He established a school club called Neighbors Club to make friends with a solitary classmate Yozora Mikazuki and a beautiful arrogant girl Sena Kashiwazaki. There are also other Moe characters such as Kodaka’s little sister Kobato and a 10-year-old nun Maria Takayama.

In 2015, the anime movie was released, followed by Girls und Panzer das Finale, which consists of 6 episodes. Girls und Panzer follows high school girls who feel enthusiasm for Senshado, which is a sport-style strategic war game with tanks.

The story begins when an elementary school girl Hotaru Ichijo moves to a Japanese countryside. Non Non Biyori depicts the peaceful and comedy life in a small local school that houses only five students. It centers on her and her new friends Renge Miyauchi, Natsumi Koshigaya and Komari Koshigaya.

Kantai Collection (艦隊これくしょん -艦これ-) is a modern unique anime series featuring various Moe characters, based on the same-titled game released from 2013. The anime series was broadcasted with 12 episodes in 2015. The anime movie KanColle: The Movie was released in 2016.

The Moe anthropomorphism anime tells the story of teenage girls in a fleet training school, who fights against enemies as anthropomorphized battle ship characters with other personified warships.

Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl (電波女と青春男), which is less known worldwide, is one of the finest anime with Moe characters, produced by an anime studio Shaft. Based on the Hitoma Iruma’s light novel published from 2009 to 2011, the 12 episodes of the anime series were released in 2011.

The slice-of-life anime focuses on a young boy Makoto Niwa and his cousin Erio Towa, who are 16-year-old high school students. Makoto comes to live with his aunt Meme and her daughter Erio. Erio refuses to attend school proclaiming herself an alien.

The slice-of-life anime series has been loved by not only anime fans but also light novel freaks since it started airing in 2008.

The comedy and drama story begins when a high school boy Ryuji Takasu meets a heroine Taiga Aisaka, who lives alone in an unhealthy way. The girl of little stature is depicted as a Moe character, showing her cutest appearance and Tsundere personality. Their classmate Minori Kushieda is also a lovely Moe girl partly playing a key role in this Moe anime.

The slice-of-life and romance anime, set in Tokyo, follows a university student Yuta Segawa. He loses his parents in childhood and lives alone. However, for a certain reason, he comes to live with three his sister’s daughters Sora, Miyu and Hina.

The slice-of-life anime series is based on the original manga written by Kakifly and published between 2007 and 2012. The first season of the anime series aired with 14 episodes in 2009, followed by the second season consisting of 27 episodes in 2010. The only anime film K-On! The Movie was released in 2011.

K-On! is set in a Japanese high school centering on five high school girls Yui, Ritsu, Mio, Tsumugi and Azusa, who forms a school club band. The Moe characters practice their instruments, chatters with each other, have tea and so on after school.
