A Certain Scientific Railgun, which is also known as Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, is one of the most popular action sci-fi anime series in the recent past. The original manga series has been serialized since 2007 as a spin-off series of A Certain Magical Index written by Kazuma Kamachi. A Certain Scientific Railgun has captured lots of attention from more and more fans around the globe since the manga and anime series started, focusing on the esper girl Mikoto Misaka.
The first season of A Certain Scientific Railgun was broadcast with 24 episodes in 2009-2010, followed by the second season A Certain Scientific Railgun S comprising 24 episodes in 2013 and the third season A Certain Scientific Railgun T constituting 25 episodes in 2020. All of them are produced by J.C.Staff and directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai, who is also famous for other renowned series Toradora! and Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day.

How many volumes does A Certain Scientific Railgun have?
As a spin-off series of the popular light novel series A Certain Magical Index, the manga series of A Certain Scientific Railgun has been published since 2007, written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Motoi Fuyukawa. There are 17 volumes in the A Certain Scientific Railgun manga series so far (the latest 17th volume released in February, 2022).
In addition, A Certain Scientific Railgun: Astral Buddy, a side story of A Certain Scientific Railgun, was published between 2017 and 2020 with a manga artist Yasuhito Nogi. It totally has 30 chapters forming 4 volumes.
What chapter does the A Certain Scientific Railgun anime end on?
A Certain Scientific Railgun T, the third season of the anime series, finishes with Episode 25 “My Dear Friends”, which coincides with the end of Volume 13 of the manga series. The anime series covers the story until the end of Dream Ranker Arc, which is completed with Volume 13 Chapter 96 “Reunion” in the manga series.
If you want to read a sequel to the anime series, it’s highly recommended to read the manga series from Volume 14 onwards.
