The outstanding dark-fantasy anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has taken the world by storm recently, and who have made the much popular anime. The name of the anime studio producing the anime series of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is Ufotable.

The modern Japanese animation studio has created lots of famous anime series and films since it was founded in 2000. For fans of the recent anime, I’d like to introduce 7 best Ufotable anime series and anime movies, which are worth checking right now.

Ufotable is a Japanese anime studio established in 2000. It not only creates anime but also conducts various business related to anime including running an anime-themes cafe and fostering anime voice actors.

Ufotable has got much more popular among anime fans since it made a start in The Garden of Sinners Series and Fate Series collaborating with Type-Moon and Aniplex.

In 2019, the most popular recent manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was adapted into the anime series by Ufotable. The series’s first anime movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, released in 2020, becomes the highest-grossing movie in Japan earning over 50 billion yen all over the world.

1. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃) is the best anime series made by Ufotable and one of the best anime of all time for many anime fans. From 2016 to 2020, 23 volumes of the manga series were published, and about the first 6 volumes were adapted into the first season of the anime series by Ufortable in 2019. The second season Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc aired with 11 episodes in 2021 and 2022, and the third season was announced to be made!

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba follows a dependable young boy Tanjiro Kamado, who decides to join the Demon Slayer Corps after his family is killed and the only surviving little sister Nezuko is turned into a demon by demons. He grows up meeting his friends Zenitsu and Inosuke and the Hashira (the group of the strongest demon slayers) and fighting against the vicious demons.

2. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train (劇場版 鬼滅の刃 無限列車編), the sequel of the first season of the anime series, has become the highest-grossing movie in Japan of all time earning over 40 billion yen only domestically. A few volumes of the manga series (vol.7-8) were made into the anime movie adaptation by Ufotable in 2020.

The Mugen Train Arc depicts the following story of Tanjiro and his fellows Zenitsu and Inosuke, focusing on the battle between them and Enmu, Lower Rank One of the Twelve Kizuki. The battle between Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira, and Akaza, Upper Rank Three of the Twelve Kizuki.

3. The Garden of Sinners

The Garden of Sinners (空の境界) is one of the most famous Ufotable anime movie series, adapted from the light novel written by Kinoko Nasu. The dark-fantasy series consists of nine main anime movies that started with the first part Overlooking View in 2007 and completed with the final part Epilogue in 2010. And, they were followed by the latest title Future Gospel in 2013.

The Garden of Sinners is set in 1998, when lots of girls kill themselves by jumping off an abandoned building in a city. It centers on a teenage girl Shiki Ryogi, who gains the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception after emerging from a two-year coma, which allows her to see a thing’s lifetime visually.

4. Fate/Zero

Fate/Zero is the prequel of the popular anime series Fate/stay night, made from the original light novel series written by Gen Urobuchi and published by Type-Moon in 2006-2007. The anime series of Fate/Zero, produced by Ufotable, was broadcasted with 25 episodes in 2011 and 2012.

Fate/Zero depicts the world a decade before the first series Fate/stay night focusing on the Fourth Holy Grail War and a generation ago . The action dark-fantasy anime revolves around a Saber’s master Kiritsugu Emiya, who is introduced as the recently deceased adoptive father of the Fate/stay night’s protagonist Shirou Emiya.

5. Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works is the second anime series of Fate Series following the 2006’s Fate/stay night. It is divided into two seasons with 26 episodes aired in 2014 and 2015.

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works is set in the same world as Fate/stay night focusing on a high schooler Shirou Emiya and a heroine Rin Tohsaka with her Servant named Archer while the first series revolves around Shirou and the main heroine and his Servant Saber.

6. Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel

Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel (劇場版 Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel]) is the highest-quality anime movies produced by Ufotable. There are three parts in Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel consisting of I. presage flower in 2017, II. lost butterfly in 2019 and III. spring song in 2020. The successful anime movies series earned over 5 billion yen at the domestic box office.

Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel presents the third and final route of the Fate/stay night visual novel. As well as the protagonist Shirou Emiya, Sakura Matou is depicted as the main heroine. The story covers from his encounter with Sakura to the Fifth Holy Grail War.

7. Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family

Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family (衛宮さんちの今日のごはん) is a spin-off anime of Fate/stay night, created by Ufotable in 2018. The manga series first started the serialization in 2016, and Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family adapted it.

Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family is set in an alternate peaceful world in the absence of the Holy Grail War. The protagonist Shirou Emiya, who is introduced as a good cook in the anime series, host the meal for a variety of Fate characters as his friends and neighbors.
