How many volumes does Bungo Stray Dogs have?
The manga series of Bungo Stray Dogs has been serialized on Kadokawa’s monthly Seinen manga magazine Young Ace since 2012. It is created by the author Kafka Asagiri and the illustrator Sango Harukawa. There are 23 volumes published so far in the Bungo Stray Dogs Tankobon manga series (the latest 23rd volume released in December, 2022).
At the same time, a light novel series of Bungo Stray Dogs has been made by Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa since 2014. It has 8 volumes published so far (the latest 8th volume released in February, 2021). The anime series is adapted from the light novel series as well as the manga series.
There are also several spin-off manga series and light novels such as Bungo Stray Dogs: Wan!, Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple, Bungo Stray Dogs: BEAST, Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chūya, Age Fifteen, etc. Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! was also made into an anime series containing 12 episodes in 2021 while Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple into an anime movie in 2018.
Which volume of Bungo Stray Dogs to read after the anime?
The anime series of Bungo Stray Dogs is based on both its manga series and light novel series, so you can enjoy the next story after the latest anime episode ends in the manga and light novels. Please note that the light novel series is not an adaptation from the manga series, which means they tell different stories.
Bungo Stray Dogs Season 3 ended with Episode 37: Echo in 2019, which covers from Fifteen Arc, which is adapted from the light novel series Volume 6, to The Guild Aftermath Arc and Cannibalism Arc, which are adapted from the manga series Volume 10-13.
To get a step ahead of the Bungo Stray Dogs anime series, re-start the manga series from Volume 13 Chapter 54 onwards.
