The live-legend action adventure franchise Dragon Ball is still ongoing with the sequel title Dragon Ball Super. More new villains are being introduced in the new part, and Goku and other main characters are training and growing stronger.
Based on the first and main manga series written by Akira Toriyama, the Dragon Ball anime adaptation was completed in 1989 and the following part Dragon Ball Z finished in 1996. They were followed by an anime-exclusive sequel Dragon Ball GT (1996-1997) and a revised version of Dragon Ball Z (2009-2011/2014-2015). Then, the new television anime series Dragon Ball Super began as the first anime series written by Akira Toriyama himself from 2015. It ended with the 131st episode in 2018 while its original manga is ongoing.

How many volumes does Dragon Ball Super have?
The manga series of Dragon Ball Super has been serialized on Shueisha’s monthly manga magazine V Jump since 2015, written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou. There are 19 volumes in the Dragon Ball Super manga series so far (the latest 19th volume released in August, 2022).
What chapter does the Dragon Ball Super anime end on?
Dragon Ball Super features the ten years between the end of Dragon Ball’s final battle (when Goku defeats Majin Buu) and its final episode. It covers from God of Destruction Beerus Saga to Universe Survival Saga, including some anime-exclusive chapters.
The latest anime series of Dragon Ball Super finishes with Episode 131 “A Miraculous Conclusion! Farewell, Goku! Until We Meet Again!”, which corresponds with Volume 9 Episode 41 “Ultra Instinct” of the manga series.

It has not been announced that the production of Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is confirmed yet. However, you can expect it since there are many volumes in the manga series to be adapted into the anime series. In addition, a brand new anime movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was released in June, 2022 (two months later in the United States).
