1. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc (Season 3)
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃) is definitely the center of attention from anime fans all over the world in the spring of 2023. Its latest and third season Swordsmith Village Arc follows the previous season Entertainment District Arc in 2021. Based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s outstanding manga series serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016-2020, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc is made by Ufotable as well as the past two seasons and the smash-hit anime movie Mugen Train (2020).

2. Dr. Stone: New World (Season 3)
Dr. Stone: New World, the third season of the popular sci-fi adventure, is one of the most anticipated anime series released in the spring of 2023. It follows the previous television special Dr. Stone: Ryusui made by TMS/Die4studio in July 2022, produced by TMS/8PAN as well as the first and second seasons in 2019 and 2021. The modern sci-fi masterpiece is adapted from Weekly Shonen Jump’s manga series, which was just completed in March 2022.
Dr. Stone: New World keeps following the genius scientist Senku Ishigami and other survivors in the stone-age world. Letting the skilled navigator Ryusui Nanami and his butler François join the Kingdom of Science, they are headed to the other end of the world for a potential source of the petrification flash.
It has been announced that the third season is divided into two parts, and the first part in the spring will be followed by the second half in the autumn or later.

3. Oshi no Ko
The spring is one of the hottest seasons in 2023 when several remarkable new anime series are scheduled to air, and Oshi no Ko (【推しの子】) is a signature title whose anime adaptation has been waited by many fans since its manga publication began on Weekly Young Jump in 2020. With a manga artist Mengo Yokoyari, it is written by the famous author Aka Akasaka, who is well-known for the popular romantic comedy series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. It is made into the first anime adaptation by Doga Kobo.
Introducing a quite popular Japanese idol girl Ai Hoshino, she is killed by someone just after having her twin babies in the beginning of the suspenseful fantasy story. 4. KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!
For those who are looking forward to watching a new season of the popular Isekai comedy KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, its spin-off anime adaptation KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! (この素晴らしい世界に爆焔を！) is arriving in April, 2023. It is adapted from Natsume Akatsuki’s three -volume light novel series published between 2014 and 2015 which has been followed by its sequel series since 2016. The spin-off anime is made by Drive, which is also making the third season of the main KonoSuba series coming later.
KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! tells the past story of Megumin, the 14 year-old archwizard in the party of Kazuma, when she went to Red Prison, the Magic Academy in the Village of Crimson Magic Clan. There are new Crimson Magic Clan characters including her schoolmates Yunyun and Arue. She studies with them to become a great explosion magician.

5. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 2
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (機動戦士ガンダム 水星の魔女), one of the top-rated anime series of 2022, started in October and finished its first part with the 12th episode in the beginning of January, 2023. And, it continues into the second season airing from April. There are a lot of Gundam anime series that was first released in 1979, but The Witch from Mercury is recommended to those who have not watched any Gundam ever.
The latest Sunrise mecha anime series centers on a female protagonist Suletta Mercury, set in space colonies. The story begins when the 17-year-old girl is transferred from Mercury to the Asticassia School of Technology, where both Spacians and Earthians live. She meets Miorine Rembran, the only daughter of Delling Rembran, the president of the Benerit Group, which runs the school. And, she is taken to fight against a third-year student Guel Jeturk in their Mobile Suits, who importunately proposes marriage to Miorine.

6. Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku
Present-day manga and anime fans understand the quality of new anime adapted from successful manga series are almost certainly guaranteed. Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku (地獄楽) is a promising new anime broadcasted from April, 2023. The action dark-fantasy anime’s production was decided in January, 2021, when the original manga series written by Yuji Kaku was concluded on Shonen Jump+. It is also quality assured partly because of its anime studio Mappa, which is lately famous for Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man.
Set in the late Edo period, Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku centers on a powerful ninja Gabimaru, who is captured and condemned to death by being betrayed by his associate. A female executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri offers him the chance to avoid the death sentence if he successfully bring the elixir of immortality from a remote island. Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku depicts battles with other death-row convicts and vicious monsters in the island.

7. Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage
As a recent coming-of-age fantasy anime series, Ranking of Kings (王様ランキング) has been watched by both children and adults around the world since the first season began in October, 2021. Its manga series written by Sosuke Toka has been serialized on a manga publishing website Manga Hack since 2017. After 24 episodes in the first season airing in 2021-2022, a sequel title Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage (王様ランキング 勇気の宝箱) comes in the spring of 2023. It is made by Wit Studio as well as the previous season.
Ranking of Kings is set in a fantasy world where kings of each country are ranked for their powers. Bojji, a little prince of the Bosse Kingdom, has a dream to become a king of the kingdom though he was born deaf and has a very small build. Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage presents unknown episodes of the courage of Bojji, Kage and people around them.

8. The Dangers in My Heart
The Dangers in My Heart (僕の心のヤバイやつ), one of the most popular ongoing romantic-comedy and slice-of-life manga series, is made into an anime adaptation in this spring. Serialized on Manga Cross, it is written by Norio Sakurai since 2018. The first anime series of The Dangers in My Heart is created by Shin-Ei Animation, the anime studio that is also famous for another remarkable rom-com series Teasing Master Takagi-san (2018-2022).
The Dangers in My Heart is dominated by two middle schoolers in Meguro, Tokyo: An introvert Chunibyo boy Kyotaro Ichikawa and a popular cheerful student Anna Yamada. Kyotaro has a delusion that he kills his classmates including even Anna all the time, which is a typical symptom of Chunibyo. However, he notices one day that he falls in love with her.

Selling manga series serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump, the most popular manga magazine, are adapted into anime series one and another these days. Mashle (マッシュル -MASHLE-) is a popular fantasy adventure manga written by Hajime Komoto since 2020, which is made into the first anime series from April, 2023. That famous anime studio A-1 Pictures is in charge of the production of the Mashle anime.
Mashle is set in a magical world where people have social status according to their magic abilities. People without any magic power are discarded in the society. Mash Burnedead is the protagonist who is incapable of using magic but has extreme muscular strength. The story unfolds when he is taken to enter the Easton Magic Academy. The story consists of powerful action mixed with comedy in a fine balance.

10. The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2
The Ancient Magus’ Bride (魔法使いの嫁) comes with its second season from April 2023. It is made by Studio Kafka like the previous OVA titled The Ancient Magus’ Bride: The Boy From the West and the Knight of the Mountain Haze in 2021-2022 while the first season’s 24 episodes are produced by Wit Studio in 2017-2018. The dark-fantasy series is based on Kore Yamazaki’s manga series serialized on Monthly Comic Garden since 2014.
The story of Magus and Girl re-starts in The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2. The Ancient Magus’ Bride casts a spotlight on a lonely 15-year-old red-haired girl Chise Hatori. She has an inherent ability to recognize things that aren’t humans, which has made her left out of family interactions. At the auction in London, she goes with the flow and is bought by Elias Ainsworth, a mysterious magus with an animal skull for his head. Discerning her potential magic abilities, Elias says his plan to make her his apprentice and fiancé.

11. In Another World with My Smartphone Season 2
In Another World with My Smartphone (異世界はスマートフォンとともに。) is a popular Isekai anime series that introduces an unusually powerful protagonist and lots of heroines. After the first season composed of 12 episodes in 2017, the second season of In Another World with My Smartphone is scheduled to air in the spring of 2023. Unlike the former season produced by Production Reed, J.C.Staff is in charge of the production of the next season. The Isekai adventure anime is adapted from the same-titled light novel written by Patora Fuyuhara on an online publishing platform Shosetsuka ni Naro since 2013.
Set in a typical fantasy adventure world, In Another World with My Smartphone revolves around a 15-year-old high school boy Touya Mochizuki. He is accidentally killed by God and is reincarnated into the different world, given a smartphone and some outstanding magic abilities not to die shortly afyer rebirth. The second season presents the following story with more new female characters accompanying him.

12. Edens Zero Season 2
Edens Zero is the one of the popular anime that many fans have expected to come back with their next season. Edens Zero is set in the universe, centering on a young boy Shiki Granbell, who is raised among robots in the planet Granbell. Edens Zero Season 2 continues focusing on his journey to see the legendary creator of the universe Mother. 13. Uma Musume Pretty Derby Road to the Top (Web Anime)
Uma Musume Pretty Derby (ウマ娘 プリティーダービー) has become one of the smash-hit game apps since it was released by Cygames in 2021, which is also known for the popular anime series. The 16-episode first season in 2018 and 2021 was made by P.A.Works and the 13-episode second season in 2021 was created by Studio Kai. In the spring of 2023, a new web animation Uma Musume Pretty Derby Road to the Top follows the past two seasons.
The upcoming web anime series features different protagonists Narita Top Road, T M Opera O, and Admire Vega instead of Special Week and Tokai Teio in the previous seasons. It is expected that the new horse girls compete fiercely in classic races.

14. My Home Hero
Besides new anime belonging to major genres such as action and fantasy, there are some expected titles classified into less known anime genres in the spring of 2023. My Home Hero (マイホームヒーロー) is a new suspenseful anime categorized as crime and thriller, made by a classic Japanese anime studio Tezuka Productions. It is based on the original manga series written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki since 2017.
My Home Hero tells the story of a commonplace middle-aged man and mystery novel lover Tetsuo Tosu, who become gradually involved in crimes. One day, he knows his only daughter Reika, a university student who lives by herself, seems to be subjected to physical abuse by someone. As a result of his investigation about that, he finds out her boyfriend appears to get close to her conspiring to plunder the property of her mother’s family. He tries to protect his family in a surprising way.

The anime adaptation made by Madhouse airs from April, which is the same time as the latest 7th volume is released.
Akane Kinoshita, a college student, is suddenly dumped by her boyfriend for someone else. Skip and Loafer revolves around Mitsumi, a high school girl who moves from rural area in Ishikawa Prefecture to Tokyo for her education. Heavenly Delusion (天国大魔境) is a mystery-filled post-apocalyptic adventure anime. Based on the manga by Masakazu Ishiguro, it has been serialized in Monthly Afternoon since 2018. The anime adaptation is handled by Production I.G, a renowned studio known for titles like Ghost in the Shell.
