Bakemonogatari
Bakemonogatari (化物語) is a renowned light novel and anime series, adapted into the manga series since 2018. The paranormal manga, created by Oh! Great and based on the original novel written by Nisio Isin, just concluded with 22 volumes in 2023. Bakemonogatari is the title of first part of Monogatari Series, but is also the title of the whole part of the manga adaptation.
Bakemonogatari depicts a variety of incidents caused by apparitions called Kaii since a high school boy Koyomi Araragi is transformed into a half-human, half-vampire by the king of apparitions. Koyomi tackles the problems occurring around several heroines and himself.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
Categorized as romance and comedy, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War (かぐや様は告らせたい〜天才たちの恋愛頭脳戦〜) has been globally welcomed by lots of modern manga fans since its serialization began in 2015. Chihayafuru
The popular romance series Chihayafuru (ちはやふる), starting its serialization on a Japanese Shojo manga magazine Be Love in 2007, came to the end in August, 2022. The manga series, written by Yuki Suetsugu, finished with the 50th and final volume after running for about 15 years. There are also three seasons of its anime adaptation so far, which have not been completed yet. It’s also famous for its live-action movies that Chihayafuru experiences more commercial success with.
The romance manga, mixed with the theme of sports and Japanese traditions, tells the grand story of the heroine Chihaya Ayase from elementary school to high school. She is enthralled by karuta (traditional Japanese playing cards), inspired by her new classmate Arata Wataya, who fully expresses his talent for karuta from a young age. The teenage main characters grow up through a bunch of encounters and competitions with rivals.

The Duke of Death and His Maid
The completion of The Duke of Death and His Maid (死神坊ちゃんと黒メイド) has brought both joy and sorrow to its fans since the 223rd and final episode was released on Sunday Webry in May, 2022. The romantic comedy manga series, written by Koharu Inoue, was serialized for about five years. It was made into the first season of its anime adaptation by J.C.Staff in 2021, followed by the expected second season in 2023.
The Duke of Death and His Maid tells the story of the young boy known as the Duke of Death and his beloved maid Alice Lendrott, set in a mansion located away from the main building. He has lived in the isolated mansion with Alice and his old butler Rob since he was cursed by a witch when he was five years old. Due to the dangerous curse, no one can touch him since it kills everything and everyone he touches. Only Alice and Rob treat him kindly without fear of the curse while others hate him like poison.

Golden Kamuy
The historical adventure series Golden Kamuy (ゴールデンカムイ) was concluded on April 28, 2022, and the 31st and final volume released in July, 2022. As a popular historical manga series among especially adults, it was serialized on Weekly Young Jump from 2014, written by Satoru Noda. There are three seasons of its anime adaptation released so far in 2018 and 2020.
Golden Kamuy is set in an alternative history of the end of the Meiji period, which is just after the end of the Russo-Japanese War. The adventure story concentrates on a veteran Saichi Sugimoto who meets a teenage girl of the Ainu. They explore a pile of gold that had been hidden by the Ainu people before they were robbed of it by a villain.

Takopi’s Original Sin
The impressive newcomer on the popular manga website Shonen Jump Plus started its serialization from December, 2021, which is titled Takopi’s Original Sin (タコピーの原罪). It is the first manga series serialized by a manga artist Taizan 5. After just about three months and a half, the emotional drama manga came to the end in the spring of 2022.
Takopi’s Original Sin casts a spotlight on a poor fourth-grade elementary school girl Shizuka, who is severely bullied at school since his mother conducts an affair with her classmate’s father while her father abandoned his family. One day, an octopus-looking alien Takopi comes to her from the Happy Planet to make people happier. Various mysterious Happy Tools by Takopi results in unintended effects on her and people around her.
Takopi’s Original Sin was just published in Japanese in March and April, 2022, so it’s expected its English edition to be released in the near future. You can read it in English on the official manga website Manga Plus by Shueisha earlier than the tankobon published for free!

Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction (デッドデッドデーモンズデデデデデストラクション), sometimes abbreviated to Dededede, is a notable completed manga that just brought the curtain down with the 100th episode in February, 2022. It was serialized on a weekly Japanese Seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits between 2014 and 2022, written by Inio Asano, who is well-known for other coming-of-age manga series Solanin (2005-2006) and Goodnight Punpun (2007-2013).
Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction is set in an alternate modern Tokyo, which the aliens suddenly invaded with a gigantic disk-shaped spaceship called the Mother Ship three years ago. The deadly attack killed many people, which was stopped by U.S. forces. The story tells the story of two high school girls Kadode Koyama and Ouran Nakagawa, who enjoys their youth while the world and humankind are situated at a moment of crisis.

The popular action, dark-fantasy manga Fire Force (炎炎ノ消防隊) finally finished with the 304th episode in February, 2022 after being serialized on Weekly Shonen Magazine for about six years and a half. Written by Atsushi Okubo, the manga has made a lot of fans with the theme of fire fighters. It was also adapted into the first season of an anime series in 2019 and the second season in 2020.
Fire Force is set in a fictional Tokyo centering on a 17-year-old boy Shinra Kusakabe, who becomes a member of Special Fire Force Company 8. He saves people from spontaneous human combustion fighting against Infernals with his ability to ignite his feet.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃) has got more and more popular since it was released in 2016 and is now one of the most famous completed manga of all time. The dark-fantasy adventure manga series came to the end in 2020 while its story and popularity climaxed with fans all over the world. The best modern manga has been adapted into the popular anime series since 2019 and the 2020’s anime movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train is now known as the highest-grossing movie in Japanese movie history.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba depicts a grand battle between vicious demons and swordsmen trained to defeat them. Attack on Titan

Jojolion (ジョジョリオン), the latest part of the famous manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, just came to the end in August, 2021. It started its serialization on Ultra Jump as the eighth title of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure in 2011 and continued for about a decade, which is the longest JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series.

They have a goal of defeating the Gun Devil with other characters including a Public Safety Devil Hunter named Aki Hayakawa and a Blood Fiend named Power.

Written by Rin Suzukawa, Asobi Asobase (あそびあそばせ) came to the end in November, 2022, and the final volumes 14 and 15 were published in the same month. 132 chapters are collected in the 15 Tankobon volumes. Asobi Asobase is a school-themed surreal comedy manga series, which was made into an anime adaptation consisting of 12 episodes by Lerche in 2018.
Asobi Asobase depicts a funny story of these three junior high schoolers: Hanako Honda, who is good at both studies and sports but doesn’t have any friend at school; Olivia, who is an American transfer student but can’t speak English at all; Kasumi Nomura, who is a good scholar but is terrible at English. They establish a Pastimers Club to make their school life enjoyable.

After nine years since its serialization began in 2014, Interviews with Monster Girls (亜人ちゃんは語りたい) was just concluded in the end of 2022. The comedy manga series mixed with fantasy and slice of life, written by Petos, was serialized on Young Magazine the 3rd and Monthly Young Magazine. The final and 11th Tankobon volume published in february, 2023. Interviews with Monster Girls has become more popular since its anime adaptation made by A-1 Pictures aired in 2017. A spin-off series titled Occult-chan wa Katarenai (オカルトちゃんは語れない) has been serialized by a writer Kae Hoshimoto and an illustrator Hajime Honda since 2019.
Interviews with Monster Girls is set in a modern Japan, where demi-humans (a.k.a. demis) are being integrated into human society. It features a high school biology teacher Tetsuo Takahashi and several demi-human students and teacher including a cheerful vampire Hikari Takanashi, an inhibited dullahan Kyoko Machi, a snow woman Yuki Kusakabe, a succubus math teacher Sakie Sato. They hold their own personal problems as demi-humans.
