The first season of the anime series consists of 24 episodes released in 2020-2021. The first anime movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was released on December 24, 2021, adapted from the manga series vol.0. Jujutsu Kaisen is set in Tokyo, and there are lots of real-life areas like Shibuya in the series. The major theme of Jujutsu Kaisen is a conflict sorcerers and curses. Jujutsu Kaisen centers on a physical elite high schooler Yuji Itadori, who gets a curse power by eating a finger of Sukuna, the king of curses.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃), written by Koyoharu Gotoge, is one of the best modern manga and anime series. The dark-fantasy adventure manga was serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020 and there are 23 volumes released totally. Its anime adaptation was released with 26 episodes by a Japanese anime studio ufotable. The following anime movie Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train broke the box office record of Japanese movie history with over 34 billion yen within 3 months.
Its setting is Japan around the Taisho period (1912-1926) and it depicts the story of demon slayers who fight against demons with Nichirin Blades that help humans to kill demons. A young boy Tanjiro and his young sister Nezuko begin a great adventure to beat the king of demons. They meet their reliable friends and powerful demon slayer masters and grow up during the trip.

2. Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man (チェンソーマン), an action and dark-fantasy manga series, has made a huge impact on readers of Weekly Shonen Jump since the first episode was released in the beginning of 2019. The first part consisting of 11 volumes was completed in December, 2020, and the second part has been serialized on the online magazine Shonen Jump+ since July, 2022. Its anime adaptation will be created by Mappa, an anime studio that is in charge of the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen.
There is a conflict between devils and devil hunters including a main character Denji and Power. They fight against devils under the mandate from Makima, who is the top of Public Safety Devil Hunters. Denji, who can transform himself into the Chainsaw Devil, continues battling until beating the strongest Gun Devil.

3. Bakemonogatari
Bakemonogatari (化物語), the first title of the famous Monogatari Series, is a highly-recommended manga and anime series for fans of Jujutsu Kaisen. Monogatari Series has been written by Nisio Isin as a light novel since 2005, which has been adapted into the anime series since 2009. And then, its manga adaptation project started in 2018.
Bakemonogatari, categorized as fantasy, slice-of-life and comedy, represents apparitions that cause supernatural difficulties around haunted characters. The story focuses on a high schooler Koyomi Araragi and several heroines including his classmates Hitagi Senjogahara and Tsubasa Hanekawa. He exerts himself to solve lots of problems occurring to them.
Both Bakemonogatari and Jujutsu Kaisen have the theme of something dark such as apparitions (ghosts) and curses. You can expect attractive characters with their backgrounds and funny conversations between them rather than frequent intense battles in Bakemonogatari.

4. Yu Yu Hakusho
Yu Yu Hakusho (幽☆遊☆白書) is a famous classic manga series written by Yoshihiro Togashi, who is also known as a manga artist of Hunter x Hunter. 19 volumes of the manga series were published between 1990 and 1994, adapted into an anime series with 112 episodes in 1992-1995.
The story of Yu Yu Hakusho begins when a protagonist Yusuke Urameshi dies for a car accident. He steps into Spirit World and fight against demons as a Underworld Detective meeting unique characters including Kurama and Hiei.
Yu Yu Hakusho is highly recommended to fans of Jujutsu Kaisen since both have similar themes and cool battle scenes.
5. Shaman King
Shaman King (シャーマンキング) is a well-known dark fantasy adventure manga and anime series. The original manga was serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump in 1998-2004 consisting of 32 volumes. The first anime adaptation was aired with 64 episodes in 2001-2002, followed by the brand new version of the anime series in 2021.
Shaman King revolves around a young boy named Yoh Asakura, who is a shaman and can communicate with a ghost. The whole story mainly focuses on powerful fights between shamans using supernatural powers that they borrow from the ghosts. Yoh joins the fighting competition Shaman Fight to become a Shaman King.
For fans of Jujutsu Kaisen, the setting and plot of Shaman King are appealing besides similar themes. Each character has a distinct personality in Shaman King as Yuji, Megumi and Nobara do in Jujutsu Kaisen.
